Seems like you’ll have to put aside joining the fellowship for just a little while longer, as The Lord of the Rings: War in the North has been delayed from its August release date and is now set to release this November.
Warner Bros. Interactive and Snowblind Studios officially announced today that Lord of the Rings: War in the North will now be releasing on November 1, 2011 in North America for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. While the delay isn’t that bad, it is an awkward business move on behalf of Warner Bros. Interactive.
November is set to be a VERY crowded month, with games like Uncharted 3, Call of Duty: Modern Warefare 3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations and Saints Row: The Third, just to name a few. I wouldn’t necessarily say that Warner Bros. is sending War in the North into a losing battle but I wouldn’t say it has much of a fighting chance either.
