Today at Gamescom, Ubisoft announced that it has six titles in the works for Sony’s upcoming handheld, PS Vita. Among the games are Asphalt, Dungeon Hunter Alliance, Lumines, Michael Jackson: The Experience, Rayman Origins and an all new Assassin’s Creed.
Assassin’s Creed Vita will release in 2012 and feature an all new story with new characters and locations. No details were released for the other titles but Chief Executive Officer, Yves Guillemot had this to say about the actual handheld:
“With its processing power, dual tactile screens and cameras, PS Vita allows creators like Ubisoft new and unique opportunities to develop innovative games. We’ve got a strong and varied line-up that will offer fun and immersion to all audiences of the PS Vita.”
The PS Vita is scheduled to release in Japan later this year and in North America and Europe in early 2012.
