Welcome to the Best Of 2012 Awards. This year has awarded us gamers with some truly amazing games; Shooters, RPGs, Sports, Adventures, Horror and so on. You name it and there was probably something amazing. Last week, Capcom surprised gamers everywhere by revealing Resident Evil 6, due out November 20th of this year. While fan reaction has been enthusiastic (though mixed), Capcom’s recent hits and misses with the franchise lately has shaken fans’ confidence in the series. We’re sure Resident Evil 6 will be a blast to play, but if it wants to truly be great then it will hopefully adhere to the following advice.
Multi-player gaming hasn’t seen a true revolution in quite some time. Games like Call of Duty and Battlefield have kept the genre competitive and entertaining but for how much longer. For how long can they hold onto their multi-player crowns? Well, not for much longer at the rate they are going but that isn’t a bad thing considering that Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls have shown what true innovation can do to rejuvenate the multi-player genre.
